My mom lived at this community for just over a month and we had a lot of problems during this time. The doctor wanted the caregivers to give her the medications and they were not giving them to her properly. She had to tell them when to give them to her. She had bugs in her room and it took a couple days to get the exterminator in. There was a slow response time during the first week she was there. They did not seem organized in the dining area. The food was good. The staff were nice.

The supporting staff is very friendly and accommodating. My biggest complaint is lack of communication. Activities should be online. When you come in as a new resident there should be a formal meeting of how things work and the schedule of what you are paying for. There should be a followup with residents families on how things are going and what can you improve on. Upper staff needs to be more organized and available, most especially the head nurse. She needs to either be seeing potential residents or working within the building as she always seems to be in a hurry and not available.

I was doing research for my mom's future needs. I thought it would be inexpensive but it actually is too much for me. This was very educational for us.

They just replaced the staff at Atria and the new staff are very attentive to my loved one. She likes the food, however the water is terrible and it would be nice to have a filter for the water. The community is well taken care of and they clean her room once a week.

I am now living at this community and so far I am doing fine and feeling good. The staff give me good care and serve me good food, it is a lot better than my last place. My room is always clean and the place is well maintained too. I have played in a scrabble game and won third place and there are other activities to do also. I would only say i wish there are more nurses to help me. So far I think I am here to stay.

Atria is a lovely place to live. It is cheerful, full of activities,and a great place to live if you don't need care.There are not enough people to give the amount of care my Mom needs. Plan on getting outside help if that is your situation, if your loved one is in a wheelchair and needs extra attention. The food is acceptable, but you have to realize that you will have to wait for your meal.

I toured this facility for my father. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the facility was the smell. There was a very bad smell of urine. Everything else looked nice and clean. The staff was nice and friendly. The residents appeared to be happy and very comfortable. The food looked nice, the residents likes the food. It was a little to enclosed for my father. It was a nice tour.

Loved the creek running through the property and the walking trail alongside. The interior was darker and older style furniture. Location was good but some face the highway and road noise would be evident on the balconies. Friendly staff.

My father was not happy with this community, so we have moved him to a new place. This is an okay community, with a decent staff. They do a pretty good job of keeping the facility clean. It is a smaller community, and my father was looking to interact with more people. The residents aren't very active. I would say it depends on your loved one if this community would be a good fit.

Many problems with getting services as promised. Need for frequent follow up to get scheduled showers, laundry..response time for aids to respond is not as promised (7-10 minutes.) Transportation bus not fitted for secure wheel chair transport. They are friendly enough but follow through is sketchy. Food complaints..limited choices

Right now the Patrician is still in a transition stage so it is hard to rate how it will be in the future. Mom moved in at the beginning of the renovations and we have had difficulty handling the changes even though we new it was coming. I didn't ask enough questions, to trusting about my own assumptions. Be wary is my advice and maybe wait until the dust settles.

Atria is a great location however the apartments are dated and not what we are looking for

Took my mom to Atria Collwood for a one month respite stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, we did not get info about facility safety procedures due to Friday check in. Facility has safety policy of checking in on resident in their rooms at night. We did not get this info. Unfortunately, my mother was startled and frightened when exiting her bathroom to find a male caregiver in her room. That was it for her and she checked out after only two days. This was a disappointing misunderstanding. My advice is to try and check in when all key staff are working and ask lots of questions. The food was OK, usually required reheating. There were also ants in her bathroom.

Things are going okay for my cousin over here at Atria Riverdale, but the one thing my cousin dislikes here is the food. All the food made here is Kosher and they do not inform you of this before you move in, I really think that is very important information that you and your loved one should be told about because my cousin is not kosher. The community looks really nice and the staff is very kind and helpful. Other places were really expensive but this place was a little more reasonable with their price even thought I still have my concern regarding what they are charging her. I give the community 3 stars and the food here I would give 1 star.

Atria Hillsdale is a nice place but as far as care I'm not sure they do. There has been several occasions where Mom has alerted someone to assist her to the bathroom and ends up wetting herself for their lack of response. This has been very upsetting to me. I feel that this place is for people that can do for themselves and not for someone in need of assistance.

Nickle and dime everything. A couple of times very important instructions given for the morning and not followed through, thus making us stressed. For the most part very friendly staff.

The only thing that I have a small problem with is that they are supposed to be sending correspondence to either me or the insurance company, but they are cutting it a little close now and I have not gotten any reimbursement from the insurance company because they need that correspondence. Other than that it is good and my loved one is happy there.

This rating is for the dementia unit, which I only toured. I do not have a family member here. Many of the people who have family members that we spoke with, like the staff. But we found out at the end of the tour from the memory care director that the memory care unit did not have the necessary parameters we need. I would suggest you verify your needs before going on a tour. They said they do not have any means to puree food or thickened juice. It also smelled a little funny in the dementia unit when we were there.

Beautiful grounds, very friendly, nice varied selection of activities. Expensive

Further away than we want and the apartments have no upgrades.
