Unfortunately our mom needs a medicaid nursing home, but [Name removed] still spent time with our family answering questions about other types of care in the area. She was very helpful when we dropped in unannounced.

Mom has been at Autumn Leaves now for 6 months. I've been really happy with the facility, the staff, and especially the community. I love that it's a small community (33 residents max) and that the whole facility is dedicated to memory care. There were recent changes in the facility management team. That's always cause for concern, so I was excited to find that the new people are as caring and responsive as those who were there when Mom arrived. There is no PERFECT place, outside of at home, with family, to care for our loved ones. (And even that isn't always ideal.) Autumn Leaves of Bolingbrook is as close to that as it gets. Every staff member knows each resident on a first name basis and when we visit, they know us as well and can update us on how mom's been doing. The facility is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. I don't believe our family could have found a better place for Mom

My sister-in-law was living there until she needed skilled nursing. We visited often and made friends with other residents . We still visit them and play cards at least once a week. It is a pleasure to be include in special events. The activities director is so creative and giving of her time. There is wheel chair polka dancing, sing alongs, and smiles from all the guests . We were and are pleased to know such a caring place exists. Finding that right placement is not easy. But, you helped so much.

We are so grateful to have found Hickory Park. My mom has been here for almost six months and loves it. The staff here are just wonderful and truly care about my mom. It’s a wonderful mix of privacy in your own apartment and plenty of opportunity to mingle with the other residents for meals and fun activities. Mom is truly thriving here.

Autumn Leaves of South Barrington is the best! If I could give 10 stars I would! It has been a wonderful place for our Mom. The staff is top notch. Wonderful family atmosphere. They have done a great job with her care. Our Mom is safe. To sum up my experience at Autumn Leaves of South Barrington... a quote by Mother Teresa: "Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier."

Was able to visit. Very nice facility. They spent a lot of time with me seeing the facility and going over all the aspects of how they deal with Altzheimers. Very reassuring after my experience with [removed]. Also showed a lot of concern for me. I have decided to go with them.

Was impressed with the facility and the range of programs. Thought the building looked immaculate all over for a 10 year old building. Liked the staff/resident interaction I witnesssed.

This is such a wonderful place to live! It's welcoming and friendly. We love to play sheep's head together and I just love the Bingo. It's a fun, fun place to be! I just love it here!

This place is great. I am my sister's guardian and live 2000 miles away. HC took her in quickly, settled her in, dealt with her dementia and acting out. Over the miles, I have personal contact with medical and activities staff. The way they took control of her and her dementia situation is phenomenal. I sleep well at night knowing I don't have to jump on an airplane and deal with whatever daily problems she can cause. She loves the artwork and activities they provide. She has gained badly needed weight. Her room is clean! And most of all, they keep her safe, which she sometimes doesn't like but that is why she is there. They are so good and caring. They even have staff that know our family personally. How great is that! And they keep me posted of "strange" situations that show up - both by phone, text, and email.

My aunt lives here currently and I think things are going very well. She likes the way she’s being treated. The staff has been very good, we haven’t really had any issues. She likes the food and there seem to be plenty of options to choose from. They have a few activities like bingo, games, and movie nights. They also show the Packers games! During the holidays they had tons of parties and they’ll typically throw events for whatever season it is. The building itself is very nice and outstanding. It appears, to me, as a five star hotel more so than a retirement center. It’s very inviting and comfortable. They’re able to give her the specific care she needs while still feeling like home. I would absolutely recommend this place.
