Atria

My husband has been in Atria Center City since May or June. Although, he wants to come home, I am very pleased with the facility. I wish there was outdoor space like [community removed]. There are restaurants in the area which is a blessing. The resident are mostly interesting and diverse. Aside from running out of wine etc, we enjoy Happy Hour most nights. Atria is not perfect but close to it.

It is a good place. It is well maintained. I have a large apartment. The staff is friendly.

We did a search of four different facilities and atria was the clear winner in terms of overall impression and programs. It came across as more resort, like upscale, hotel, and although expensive.

They have painted the interior of the facility in the last year, as well as put up solar panels. My mom particularly loves the outdoor garden space and the weekly scenic drives. It has been a positive experience overall however, there has been some turnover in staff. For example, the sales manager who I initially worked with went out on maternity leave, and the activities coordinator has turned over once or twice. The caretakers have been very consistent and very helpful to my mom, which is important I would say The food or rather the meals have been enjoyable for my mom. The one thing I wish was different is that they paid more attention to diet being a factor with dementia for example eliminating sugar drinks like soda and juice. They also give the residents dessert after lunch and dinner pretty much every day so that's like a little thing that I consider but maybe wouldn't be as important to someone else. Overall, it has been a good decision and a positive experience.

The staff we're friendly, patient and helpful. My mom was a unique situation where she became too much for the staff to handle when her Alzheimer's progressed and she became violent. As a result, she had to be hospitalized. Overall, they were supportive. [name removed] gave great advice and [name removed] was always running a program on the 4th floor. They offered lots of daily activities and read the daily news with the residents. Christmas dinner was very good and they made sure everyone was included in the festivities. The dinner served in the dining room downstairs was exactly what the memory care residents received. We brought my mom down to the dining room and Christmas carols were being sang with someone at the piano. They truly care for their residents. -even the challenging ones

the administration is very responsive to families regarding needs or concerns. They know my dad really well! I literally get a text response 5-10 minutes after an inquiry.

share the only item that they have failed at so far which was promised during the sale process, and that was Atria would provide transportation on any week day to and from his boat located close by. It was confirmed multiple times before and after the contracts were signed, and my dad still has been unable to obtain the service (other than the standard Tuesday/Thursday pre-scheduled doctors/shopping planned).

They have very friendly residents and staff. Most people it only takes about 4 days to a week to get comfortable which is pretty good.

the fact that the elevators were constantly going down. And they were having a problem with their water off and on. Which was a concern. Every staff member that I came in contact with went above and beyond. So not the staff but the facilities are just old. It's really very lovely. But the bones needed some restructuring. We have moved [name removed] into a house which is one mile from ours.

Unfortunately, my mom was not there for long, she passed away in May, so I don't know how the activities were but I know they had many activities. Even though we liked the facility, I felt it was a little pricey for what my mom needed.

The only thing I can think of off hand was the TV in the main room was always monopolized by a few people that spent the entire day sitting and watching the same shows over and over.

The facility is clean and generally well maintained. Would recommend to others.

They have significantly raised the cost since we moved her in one year ago. Originally I would have said 4/5 but they really went up but services and care has not changed. Yes we would recommend this community to other families for the most part it is a nice, clean and friendly place to be. However if we did not have long term care insurance it would be way outside our budget.

Atria had very nice staff. My mother likes the staff and the food. I'm very happy with her care. Great & attentive staff.

We were Told one thing during the sales pitch, (provides paper products) but when asked at the desk after move in told client provides. Staff friendly and helpful.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Facility is very clean and maintained very well. The exercise program is run by a very confident, personable woman.

The staff at Atria is wonderful. So many have been there a decade or more and that shows up in each interaction on the business and medical side. My mother has been there about 6 weeks- she's being taken great care of and it's matched if not exceeded our expectations thus far.

A unique facility with a lovely atmosphere, caring staff, comfortable apartments, a more upscale type setting than other assisted living places

My husband has done all of the work with them, but he gives them high marks. They have been very good to my father-in-law. Beautiful clean facility, helpful staff.

Staff were very attentive. Very clean transportation was very convenient mom was not happy with the food. Very pleased that if her needs became greater she did. It need to change rooms or section of facility.
